When two artists come together, there's always the question of how to merge their worlds into one cohesive piece.
When Saint and I started throwing ideas, Iimmediately wanted it to feel like “Roger Rabbit”. The idea of combining our two worlds - a multiverse, if you will - into one piece was an enticing challenge. I knew we had to stay true to our respective styles and crafts, but I also knew that Saint had the talent to make ‘Magic’. He started with my likeness and used me as the foundation for the piece. As a fan of both Dr Strange and the Joker, I wanted to add my own twist to the mash-up. I added elements from my own life, showing my characters living around me (even Knav, who's curious about why he looks different yet familiar in real life 😅). We added details all over the place to make this a truly collaborative piece. Can you spot all the personal little details?
This weekend at Five Points, an important member of our community was the victim of a theft. This cowardly act is not only disgusting, but will not be tolerated.
