Our Vision
The Creatives Trading Card Project (TCP) was built on a simple idea: to celebrate artists the same way trading cards have celebrated athletes, superheroes, and pop culture for decades. What began as a small handmade passion project has evolved into an independent art movement connecting hundreds of creatives and collectors around the world.
How It Started
TCP began when RedGuardian created miniature art cards to include with his own artwork shipments. They were meant as small thank-yous, but they quickly sparked excitement among fans and fellow artists. That enthusiasm turned into a question that would shape everything that followed:
“What if artists could be collected, traded, and celebrated the same way as heroes in a comic or legends in sports?”
That spark grew into Series 1, which launched with dozens of artists from around the world and proved that independent creators could build something powerful together.
Where We Are Now
Three series later, TCP has become a respected name in the art and designer toy community. More than 250 artists have been featured across Series 1, 2, and 3, with pieces created in every medium imaginable such as acrylic, watercolor, sculpture, graffiti, and digital illustration.
Collectors can now find The Creatives Trading Card Project in select retail stores, art galleries, and conventions including Rotofugi in Chicago, both Tenacious Toys with Newtown HQ in New York, and the Museum of Graffiti in Miami. Each new series continues to push creative boundaries, introduce new talent, and grow our global network of artists and supporters.
Here’s the quick timeline of its evolution:

2020 – Angel began including small, handmade art cards with his own orders as thank-you gifts. The positive response from collectors and artists planted the idea for a larger project.

2021 – Series 1 was launched, marking the official start of The Creatives Trading Card Project. It featured a lineup of independent artists from across the U.S. and quickly gained traction within the art and designer toy community.

2022–2023 – Series 2 and Series 3 expanded the roster internationally, bringing in over 250 artists and establishing retail partnerships with stores such as Rotofugi (Chicago), Tenacious Toys (NYC), and the Museum of Graffiti (Miami).

2025 – The project entered development for Series 4, receiving over 400 artist submissions and growing into one of the most recognized independent art-collectible projects in the community.
Series 4: The Next Chapter
We are now preparing for Series 4, which will feature a new wave of creatives, themes, and formats designed to make collecting even more exciting. With more than 500 artist applications received, this upcoming series will be our most ambitious yet, celebrating fresh perspectives and giving emerging talent a place alongside established names.
Our goal is to continue building a living archive of creativity, one card at a time.
